My work explores the narrative potential of spatial montage, asynchronous loops, seriality , hyperlinking and locative media. If an idea or story can be generated from a single sequence of images, what can be generated with multiple, linked sequences in a database?
The cyclical and repetitive in nature and everyday life is my starting point. Rituals, seasons, moving water, a commute, a leaf swaying in the wind, any linear sequence that happens again and again. By spatially juxataposing these micro-narratives, either on the screen or in physical space, a new sense of time opens up. A time made of multiple times. A story made of multiple stories.
